Xposed Queer Film Festival
The Xposed Queer Film Festival Berlin was created to present award-winning queer short films from Australia to an international audience. In recent years, the festival’s perspective has broadened: now, from Canada, Korea, Turkey, Spain and the Middle East are presented as well.

Lesbian and Gay Festival
The Lesbian and Gay Festival in Berlin is Europe’s largest street festival of its kind. It takes place around Nollendorfplatz, the traditional gay stomping ground in Schöneberg. Europe’s largest Lesbian and Gay Festival (German: Lesbisch-Schwules Stadtfest) will take place for the 29th time in 2023. More than 350,000 visitors are expected. On both days of the festival, the area around Nollendorfplatz will become a party mile until late at night.

The Berlinale is an international film festival that is held in February.

Jazz festival Berlin

In early November Berlin becomes jazzy. For over 50 years, jazz musicians from Berlin and all over the world have come together to play at the Jazzfest, making the festival one of the oldest and most prestigious in Europe. Among its guests have been big names such as Miles Davis, Charles Mingus and Duke Ellington. The Jazzfest Berlin is part of the Berliner Festspiele.

Carnival of Cultures
The Carnival of Cultures is a reflection of Berlin’s cultural diversity. It brings together professional artists and amateurs, young and old. It is open towards new trends and styles in youth and minority culture. 450.000 immigrants from more than 180 countries live in the German capital.
