A fairytale ballet set to Tchaikovsky’s scintillating score, Swan Lake was created in 1877 for the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow and later restaged by Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov. Almost a hundred years later, Rudolf Nureyev brought his own interpretation of the ballet to the Paris Opera in 1984.

This concert showcases a selection of American musical works, including Gershwin’s iconic “Rhapsody in Blue,” Bernstein’s “West Side Story,” John Williams’ “Schindler’s List,” and Márquez’s vibrant “Danzón No. 2.” It also features the participation of the Orchestre Colonne and Orchestre Ondes Plurielles, with Clara Baget and Marc Korovitch as conductors, Ninon Hannecart-Ségal on piano, Lucile Podor on violin, and Ariane Jacob on piano. The concert lasts approximately 45 minutes.
